What is Magic?
Magic in Aethros flows from memory, breath, and belief. The Old Way is sacred and ancestral โ cast through invocation and sigils. The New Way is emotional and martial โ cast through breathform and motion. All magic blends source, form, and interface.
How It Works:
- Sources: Void (memory), Light (law), Sliver (chaos)
- Forms: Old (mythic casting), New (breathform rhythm)
- Interfaces: Masks shape identity; Cards shape fate
Why Itโs Dangerous:
Power in Aethros always has a cost. Old magic can fracture the soul. New magic burns the body. Masks and cards may overwrite the self. Mastery requires sacrifice.
Who Wields It:
Duelist monks, dream-witches, echo thieves, radiant saints โ every spellcaster is shaped by the stories they've survived and the ones they fear to forget.

- Disciplines: Chronurgy, Thanomancy, Glyphcraft, Wyrdweaving

This tier can be trained, taught, and learned. Used by Breathduelists, monks, and hybrid warriors.
