The Fateforged Tarot is no longer just a card set โ itโs the governing structure by which all sub-decks are measured, activated, and shaped.
Each Tarot card is a conceptual anchor that other deck types plug into โ the Fateforged system defines:
- The form (via Tarot Type)
- The nature (via orientation)
- The resonance (via element or emotion)
- The deck affinity (via binding domain)
Every card across every deck โ whether Thread, Blood, Hollow, etc โ is an echo that loops back into a Tarot-rooted pattern.

In battle, players can draw a 3-card Fate Spread (Past / Present / Future). Sub-deck cards populate those positions with attached Tarot metadata. Cards may shift orientation if drawn under emotional strain, incorrect mask equipped, or Thread/Spiral effects are active.
Deck creation & Tarot compatibility: When crafting a card from any deck, casters declare: Tarot Anchor, default Orientation, Binding Method, Card Title, and optional Myth Source. This allows cross-deck compatibility while retaining flavor.
