SYSTEM ROLE

The Masked Deck is a Sliver/Light/Void hybrid tied to identity magic, possession, persona archetypes, and sync-state casting. Each card represents a persona, echoed role, or borrowed face drawn from myth, legend, or lost self.

These cards only activate when the caster's Mask matches the card's archetype — or when the caster willingly accepts identity override.

I. CORE MECHANICS

Masked Cards rely on identity alignment.

Mechanic Effect
Mask Sync If the equipped Mask matches card’s Persona type, unlock full effect
Possession Trigger If Mask is mismatched, caster is partially overridden by the card
Persona Lock Card cannot be drawn until certain role traits are fulfilled (e.g., "Must act selflessly", "Must betray")
Override Cast Force activation: caster takes emotional or stat damage in exchange for effect

II. FUNCTION IN COMBAT — MASK SYNC

Mask Sync is a resonance state triggered when the equipped Mask aligns with the Persona Archetype of a Masked Card.

Broken Sync Your Mask fractures mid-cast, causing identity bleed or illusion
Archetype Bloom If three Persona cards of the same role are cast in one battle, evolve one into a “True” form (e.g. True Queen, Prime Heir)
